The Cause

causeThere are many reasons why riders participate in this event. Maybe a rider knows someone who has battled cancer. Maybe they battled cancer themselves. Maybe they are riding in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one. Maybe they are passionate about the cancer community, survivorship, and the desire to make progress. Maybe they simply want to see how far they can ride. Maybe they are part of a corporate team that allows each rider to participate in whatever capacity they wish. Or maybe they want to bring the family, camp out on the lawn, enjoy the atmosphere, and soak it all in. These are just some of the reasons why people ride in the Tour de Lis. It is a special event, whether from a cycling perspective, or from a cancer perspective. Tour de Lis is more than just a ride. It’s about inspiration, hope, challenge, and celebration.

The Tour de Lis is a symbol that:

  • We stand with all cancer survivors to celebrate life and strength
  • We honor loved ones affected by cancer
  • We honor the memory of loved ones who lost the battle with the disease
  • We ride to experience hope, challenge and celebration
  • We can unite as a community
  • We support cancer charities in making a difference for so many

Our volunteers, donors, spectators, cyclists, and sponsors are passionate about cancer survivorship, knowledge, strength and support

We ride for three cancer organizations doing work at the cutting edge:
