Safe, fun, and open to everyone
The goal of the Tour de Lis is to provide a ride that is safe, fun, non-competitive and open to all levels of cycling ability, while bringing cancer awareness to the community and raising funds for organizations that are in the forefront of Cancer Survivor Support.
A ride for a cause
Ride one loop, one hour, or the whole day-- solo or on a team! Individual and team participation is encouraged as participants can ride the entire time, part of the time or recruit and have a team relay. It’s a ride for a cause – not a race. You will be happy you participated and proud of your accomplishment.
Celebrating hope, strength, love and rememberance
Participants include cancer survivors celebrating life, family and friends who ride to honor a loved one affected by cancer, or in memory of a loved one who lost the battle. Tour de Lis unites people who are passionate about cancer survival, knowledge and support. Join us for Tour de Lis to celebrate hope, strength, love and remembrance.
Over $400,000 raised to date
The inaugural Tour de Lis in April 2007 raised $40,000 and featured five riders who cycled 150 miles around Lake Pontchartrain. In 2008, we created a community-wide event and Tour de Lis raised over $165,000, surpassing all of our goals. 2009 saw our most successful ride to date, with the total raised exceeding $195,000.
A ride with a purpose

We were angry that such a young man, who we love so deeply, should be inflicted with this devastating disease. This was our way to raise awareness with family and friends that nearly 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with Cancer... Read More →

Both my parents as well as more than a few friends have died from cancer. I myself have the markers for a blood cancer and get checked every 6 months. What gives me hope, is that with time and money, dedicated... Read More →
